Obamas Deficit reduction

These days everybody is talking about the National Debt. President Obama recently came out with a pledge to "act boldly now" on the deficit. Mr. John Lott discribes this plan and his opinion on the matter. He explains why Mr. Obama's plan is no good only pointing out the cons on the whole thing. What he doesn't state its that Mr. Obama is atleast trying to do something about it. He is trying to end the budget cut for millionaires and billionaires. Which in my opinion is totally rediculous to have millions of dollars and not have to pay the same taxes as I do. I dont care if they have power because they give money to representatives. If you dont want to pay alot of money for taxes, then you should make less money. Also to say that Obama's plan will only Reduce the deficit by a measly 1.7 Trillion dollars, and saying that it is a bad thing is rediculous to say the lesast. 1.7 trillion dollars off of the deficit my not seem like much with a deficit that is over 10 trillion dollars, but it is better then nothing. He says that if Obama would have kept his campagin promises, we would not be in a deficit. I disagree with this the deficit started back when we went to war in 03' and just becasue Obama didnt come through dosent mean its his fault.

  1. I agree that the deficit is not President Obama's fault. His actions were what he and his party thought would be best for the nation as a whole. His attempt to kick-start the economy via stimulus programs sounded good on paper and the results of said programs are still to be seen in many areas. On eliminating tax cuts for the wealthy, I agree wholeheartedly that this needs to be done.
